Eduardo's Story
Life
After Brownsvill High, I went to and graduated from Texas A & I University with a BBA. I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Infantry. I served all over the world for 20 years in the U S Army. During the Gulf War, I served as an Operations Officer in the 2nd Brigade of the 3rd Armored Division and was decorated. I retired from the Army to start a business. I had a successful State Farm Insurance agency in Leavenworth, Kansas, when State Farm asked me to join their management team. I returned to agency in 1997 and bought an agency in Tulsa Oklahoma where we presently find ourselves. Son Ricky graduated from Boston University and daughter Sara graduated from Sara Lawrence College (not bad for a Taco Tech grad). My step daughter Bianca in is a junior at Oklahoma State University (business major finally). I play golf and travel as much as we can. Wife Conni is German so we travel to Europe alot. If you're ever in Tulsa call us. 2012 update. Unfortunately Conni and I divorced last year so I am without adult supervision now. Que lastima...

Military
Commissioned as a 2LT in the Infantry Dec 1972 after basic course and airborne training went to Ft Carson, CO with 1st Bn 11th Inf. Returned to Ft Benning in 1976 to complete Ranger (honor Grad) and the Advanced Course before going to Germany. Assiigned to 1st Bn 51st Inf as the S-1 then as Commander A Co 1st Bn 51st Inf. Went back to college to get MBA and teach ROTC at Texas A & I University. Returned to Germany as Subcommunity Commander in Schwabisch Gmund in 1983, then to Freidberg to be 3rd Bde S-1 in 1985. The became Executive Officer of 1st Bn 36th Inf in 1986 till 1987. Sent to help form Battle Command Training Command in Ft Leavenworth in 1987. WHile TDY to Saudi Arabia in 1990 was drafted by XVIII Airborne Corps to work in plans section. Then drafted by VII Corps LTG Franks to be planner in the G-3 shop. # weeks before the ground war started was sent to be the S-3 of the 2nd Bde 3rd AD, and I went thru the war with the Iron Bde. We had a 24 hour battle, (we lost 3 guys).
